Every sailor stationed onboard Coral Sea from her commission October 1 1947, to her decommission in 1994, played a role in naval engagements and activities while in port state side or over seas.

My fellow shipmates and I, along with other service members of the USS Nimitz (CVN-68), naval escort ships; Army Rangers, Air Force and Marines, all played a role in “Operation Eagle Claw” regardless of his duty. Now days I guess I would have to say his or her role.

Stories of Coral Sea sailors can be found on line at the USS Coral Sea CVA-43 Association http://www.usscoralsea.org and USS Coral Sea Tribute Site http://www.usscoralsea.net

On line Aircraft Photos of Squadron planes deployed aboard Coral Sea and aircraft carriers operating with the Coral Sea are accessible through linking to internet addresses from many different sources to include:

Senior President/CEO New Home Generation, INC.

JANUARY 2003 to AUGUST 2006

Wrote Sixteen Navy Books while living abroad in BA JA Mexico

DECEMBER 1999 to 2002

Opened trucking business. I shut both trucks down and closed by business May 2001, as there was no profit margin, only expenses and a loss of $50,000.00. Owned two semi-trucks. Sold all my trucks.

Worked with NuWest Commodities Exchange and have in the past been an agent for Transportation Unlimited, Bend, Oregon and Valley Transportation, Milwaukee, Oregon locating trucks for loads. I have also independently dispatched other trucking business trucks.

Publication of “The Magnificence of the Treasure Valley and Growth of Ada and Canyon County of Idaho and A Planned Community District or Municipality known as Montebello;” illustrates one of the largest proposed Planned Communities in Idaho as of 2002.

Executive Assistant for Chairman and President of Sun Rivers Investment, Inc., Idaho and American Modular Systems International (AMSI), Jefferson, Oregon, Chairman and President Sam Sarich (2000-2002).

Energy Quest Search Web Site has taken an enormous amount of time and includes many publications including ENERGY QUEST ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES, ENERGY QUEST: A BALANCED APPROACH SUPPLYING THE U. S. IT'S THRIST FOR ENERGY, ENERGY QUEST ENCYCLOPEDIA'S ENERGY EFFICIENT DEVICES/PRODUCTS AND MONTEBELLO.

DECEMBER 1997 to DECEMBER 1999

Developed a10-acre truck stop 72KM south of San Diego, Ca. in the country of Mexico next to the main freeway connecting Tijuana to Rosaritio to Ensenada, etc., over looking the coast. Two dump trucks, backhoe, front end loader and dozer were utilized to build a 250’ in length, 40’ in width and 20’ deep ditch, in order to gain access to the freeway.  I owned one of the two dump trucks.  My crew of Mexican citizens totaled 12.

Political problems among the residents of the community and the Mexico government caused me to stop the project 99% finished. This truck stop is closed and the government closed the entrance when I stopped the development. The area I chose consisted of approximately 600-acres and is in between Baja mar world-class golf course and Baja Seasons RV Resort next to the ocean. The area is known as Ejido Ursulo Galvan. One day I may return to finish the project as the land is perfect for commercial usage and political problems related to the area may one day be solved.

The development expenses were approximately $50,000.00. Unfortunately, following the instructions of Ejido leaders as to how they wanted the entrance constructed against my better judgment merely wasted my money and when the rain fell during 2000, the Mexican government dug of the entrance so the freeway didn’t flood.

1992 to DECEMBER 1997

Studied many subjects on many topics and improved my skills as a construction estimator, blue print reader and building designer. I remolded one house and sold it. I purchased a second home in December 1997 on one-acre commercial ground in Jefferson Oregon. I still own this house.

I also improved my knowledge of auto mechanics, auto body and paint, opening a body shop located on our 60-acre farm. I bought and sold over 20 cars in a four-year period and supervised the repairing and painting.

1991 to 1992

Attended Chemeketa Community College, excelling in math, history & writing, maintaining “A” average on all subjects. My disability early on forced me to quit college and for the last 16 years I have studied subjects on history, politics, trucking, energy, environment, natural resources, energy efficiency, energy efficient applications, Planned Communities, physical therapy and nutritious diet.

JULY 1986

Wrote and published Energy Quest Encyclopedias Energy Efficient Devices and Products (T.X. 947-659 – 7-27-82).

JANUARY to FEBRUARY 1985

Worked on the Village Square Retirement Condominium in Albany Oregon where I fail from a roof and broke my neck.

Subcontracted work from Busy Bee Construction. Built several large buildings such as Beta Seed (50’ Tall).

FEBRUARY 1983 to AUGUST 1984

Worked as a carpenter in California, Texas and Oregon.  Subcontracted repair work of the Fish warehouses after the Morgan Hill earthquakes and built a 4-story bank.  Fish warehouses are 150’ by 300’ and are 100’ tall. The entire roof had to be replaced as well as 2”by14” & 4”by16” rafters. We were cabled to the top of the roof and had to use a nail puller to remove every sheet of plywood.

MAY – 1982 to FEBRUARY 1983

Assigned as the (HRMTD) Administrative Assistant, NAVPHIBSCOL, Coronado, San Diego, Ca. Captain Conley gave me a 4.0 evaluation when my term of service expired.  I was also one of the first one to take the Petty Officer Indoctrination Course for Petty Officer E-4’s. I was advanced to the rank of E-5 in four ½ years by the Commanding Officer of NAVPHIBSCOL, and performed duties associated with Naval Officers.  I was given an honorable discharge.

NOVEMBER 1981 to MAY 1982

Wrote and published Energy Quest Political & Economic Rights (T.X. 947-659-7-27-82), evaluating nonrenewable natural resources verses renewable natural resources. EQ was written while in the Navy when I was assigned to the Naval Special Warfare Training Department (NSWTD), Naval Amphibious School (NAVPHIBSCOL), Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, San Diego, Ca.

AUGUST 1977 to NOVEMBER 1981

Wrote and published Energy Quest while assigned as the Operations Department Yeoman on board USS CORAL SEA (CV-43), an aircraft carrier. Energy Quest (T.X. 731-268 – Ser. 0002 – 2-26-81 (AOC/VPA)) was published in the flag spaces of Commander Carrier Group Three, Rear Admiral D. Chambers. Six to 8 months later, Admiral Thomas B. Hayward, Chief of Naval Operations, having reviewed Energy Quest, ordered the publication of Petty Officer Indoctrination Course for E-4 Petty Officer’s.  I was assigned collateral duties managing the OPORDER during the Iranian Crisis. CORAL SEA was deployed 102-days in Indian Ocean and those in the conflict, approximately 15,000 sailors, airmen, marines, army personnel and I received the Navy Expeditionary Medal. I was awarded personal recognition as the Operations Department Sailor of the Month and I was awarded a two-week vacation to Australia, but battle conditions made it impossible to leave the ship.
